Starlight Talent is a Talent Management Company which opened in May of 2011 with a mission of helping to further the careers of talented actors, musicians and comedians and at the same time, help aspiring actors achieve their dreams of getting into show business WITHOUT having to spend a lot of money to do it. At Starlight Talent Management, we believe that persistence, dedication, passion and talent are the keys to making it in this business, NOT money spent up front!
We believe this is done with hard work, a strong and moral work ethic, a persistent, energetic and devoted staff and by giving over 100% to seeing that our talent is represented professionally, morally and honestly at all times. The key to a SUCCESSFUL acting career is continual training, a "never give up attitude" and persistence ! You can NEVER have enough of these in this business ! The owner, Janine Jannicelli, has been in the entertainment business for over 46 years. Being an actress as well, she treats her talent as she wanted to be treated as an aspiring actress and knows personally what it's like to wait by the phone for her Agent or Manager to call with an audition, to wait for days on end for a return phone call or a call to tell her the role was given to someone else and weeks for a response to an email she sent to them. She doesn't want for "her" talent to experience this with her, hence the reason her phones, pages and emails are responded to 7 days a week and close to 24 hours a day. She also knows what it's like for those around her to downplay her passion, tell her she should get a "day job" instead of being an actress and not be supportive of her and her dreams and goals in this business. That's why she's such a "hands on" Manager who knows all of her talent well, encourages them regularly, and works 7 days a week to get them into doors and booked for work. Some say she is "too" aggressive, however, she feels that with all the competition there is in this business, she needs to constantly be an aggressive cheerleader for her talent and encourage them often to never take "no" for an answer and to always reach for their goals !
We represent talent that have been in the industry for years and who possess an impressive Resume and head shots. Then, we also have talent who are just getting started, but who want to pursue a career in acting and/or comedy. This is what we are all about: To train, help and promote…and we take the challenge of helping actors pursue their dreams VERY seriously ! This is one of the reasons this Management Company is different from others. We are unique because:
1) We do not charge a registration or “administrative” fee to sign on with us.
2) You have the choice of having either an Exclusive Agreement with us or a NON-Exclusive one.
3) We don’t just represent adults. We represent pets, homes, businesses and areas for on-location shoots as well. We also specialize in "last minute" bookings too !
4) We represent talent in California, Texas, North Carolina, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and Louisiana. We even have a "Southeast" office in Raleigh, North Carolina to service the needs of our East Coast talent.
All we require for talent to be listed with us are the following:
* That they are SAG-AFTRA. (We do not accept Non-Union talent.)
* Professional head shots that show their best features
* A current Resume
* A professional Demo Reel
* A professional web site of their own
* The desire to succeed in this business
* A great attitude and an open mind !
